A bokken or bokutou in Japanese, is a wooden sword made in a variation of different sizes. The bokken is made with strong sturdy wood, usually used for sparring practice in an array of sports like aikido, kendo, iaido and other sports. These bokken are made with especially heavy duty oak, that allow the bokken to go through many uses, for any purpose! The weight of a bokken can vary, but these, despite being made out of high quality oak are made lighter than a katana, but are heavy to entice a good workout or practice session.
